All it takes is a few movements here and there to spruce up your house into a home. There has never been a better way to ease yourself of the days’ anxieties than coming home on each and every single day to a place that constantly takes you on an emotional roller coaster making you fall in love with life! We will show you how to do that and you will be surprised at how easy it is to do that with the resources available.

  • Rearrange your furniture.

re-arrange furniture

Nothing is as simple as rearranging furniture. You’ll be amazed at how spacious your home is and also how different your room would look by simply moving a couch, a table, or a bed.
  • Put old fabric pieces to use.

Search for any fabric swatches that you would be having and put them to use either individually or collectively by covering pillows for your bed or couch. You can also create a patchwork pattern or you can frame those swatches that are most interesting to create and can also be a great wall art.

  • Freshen up the linens.

Simply add lacey ribbons or ric-rac’s to borders, by adding these borders to an ordinary pillow or a bed sheet, they become more sophisticated and elegant. You will be amazed at how such a simple thing can be transformed into something amazing

  • Pull the photo boxes out from under the bed
Dust off old photographs and display them proudly. You can hang them on your prominent walls – in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways which would create a mini gallery for you. Display them on bookshelves and in book cases.

Old photographs

You can also place them on side tables. There are no rules for photographs, there are only good photographs. Photographs are a perfect way to personalize your space and remind you of the good old memories.
  • Go to natureMiniature plants.jpg
A tip on how to keep your home fresh and lovely is with freshly cut flowers, river rocks, miniature plants and any other natural, organic ingredients you can find. This is a great thing to get the kids or siblings involved in. Place flowers and river rocks in a plate filled with water, and center it on the coffee table.
    • Display your antiques

Whether you’re an enthusiastic collector or basically just have unique items or showpieces, there is no point in keeping them tucked away in cabinets. Bring out the decorative dishes, bowls, sculptures etc. Bring them out and display them proudly, be it by hanging them or grouping them together on tables or counters. Instead of having various candle holders scattered through your home, bring them together in one location and display them together.
